Pretty good. Controls were a bit loose and some of the dialog was a bit too portal-y, but otherwise a good game.

Although many of the secrets were way too hard to find.

Best Nitrome game to come out in a while, and that's saying something.

Pretty sure it's broken. The cucumber lady won't give me the cucumber, I've used every item on the plants and clicked the plants without an item. It appears I can't progress and I don't feel like starting over. Oh well.

This is extremely buggy. As soon as I got to the gnome ship, the game started drawing the hitboxes over the graphics. This persisted for the rest of the game.

Once I got to the cave of color or whatever, I noticed random tiles placed inside walls. Double-wide signs, slopes, and platforms were just jammed arbitrarily into walls.

Finally, all letters were randomly colored, making it difficult to read and unpleasant to look at.

I actually thought all these weird glitches were intentional, but if they are I don't have the patience to wade through them to reach the conclusion where they're explained. If not, fix your game.

Optimize your game

Started off choppy. After about 10 minutes got so bad I could barely even control it. Memory leaks and ultra-low framerates everywhere make an otherwise good game mediocre.

It's fine

Could use some more obstacles/platforms, or whatever. After five minutes of the same thing I just stopped trying. Overall a decent game, though.

There was one issue with the controls that kept screwing me. When you jump, you scroll with the camera, but you don't when you're on the ground. This makes precision jumps nearly impossible because the fundamentals of game control suddenly switch when you're in the air.

ThinXIII responds:

Well... the ground is moving so if you're on the ground you move with the ground and when you just you just stay where you are, it gets some people confusing, but it happens the same way as super mario. Anyway thanks for the review, much appriciated. :)

What...the hell?

Let me tell you a tale of my experience with this game.

I start playing. Okay, it's a top-down shooter. Not bad so far. Play for a while, get to the first boss, nightmare sequence is okay but makes no sense. Beat boss, get Ion Fist or whatever from the first enemy I see. Takes me about 5 seconds to realize I can use it to ghost through walls, but in the interest of playing the game normally I continue on without doing so.

Get to the second boss, beat it. Music fades away. Music comes back, boss respawns. I kill it again. Nothing. I'm stuck.

I use the ion fist to go the direction I think I was supposed to but the invisible wall wouldn't let me. I get to a room with two staircases that lead nowhere. There are no enemies in it. I continue on through the blackness. I come across two white boxes that say "Westwall" and a screenshot of a computer running Flash. "What the fuck?", I say to myself.

I head in the opposite direction. I encounter a large circular room. Inside there is a robot. I have a brief chat with it and it attacks me. I break off one of its arms and get a new weapon, hooray! I hit the robot with the new weapon a few times. I am suddenly teleported back to the room with the second, respawning boss. The room is now empty.

There was no indication that I had beaten the boss, so I ghost my way back to it. It's still alive. I kill it and am sent to a new area where I can actually move and fight things, so I do. After a while I'm sent to another nightmare sequence. At the end, there is a cutscene. However, the cutscene suddenly stops playing (although the audio keeps going) and I find myself walking in pitch blackness with a new weapon. I fire off a few rounds. The game ends abruptly.

I hope you enjoyed my riveting tale of the world's buggiest game.

I came here expecting a mediocre game

But I left with the knowledge that The Room is the best movie ever made. Thank you for tipping me off to this movie. The game is now one hundred times better now that I've seen it.

Seriously. If you haven't seen The Room, do so.

This is really bothering me

Where have I heard this music before? I KNOW I've heard it somewhere.

On topic: decent game, could have had more depth, got old fairly quickly.

Three problems

1: The hitboxing was awful, just like in 90% of flash games on NG. I don't understand why people have such a hard time drawing a rectangle equal to the size of an object.

2: The controls were SEVERELY delayed. You had to jump well before it appeared so or you'd double jump off a platform, for example.

3: The whole "floating forward" thing that happens when you jump isn't a huge deal, but is annoying.

Aside from those it wasn't too bad. I was expecting a lot of pixel-perfect jumps and stupid shit like that, but blissfully they were nowhere to be found. Challenging but beatable.
